Sophomore safety Jevon Holland has taken the next step in 2019. After making himself known a season ago with five interception as a true freshman, Holland has found his role as a leader and star in the Oregon football secondary. Holland has already nabbed three interceptions this year, and has become known for not just forcing turnovers, but threatening opposing teams every time he has the ball in his hands. With an average of 15 yards per interception return this year, and an average over 21 yards per punt return, Holland is proving to be an invaluable asset in first year defensive coordinator Andy Avalos's system.
