STORY: Deja Vu Strikes as Utah Gashes Oregon Again in Pac-12 Championship, 38-10

After falling to Utah 38-7 just 13 days ago in Salt Lake City, the Ducks had a second shot against the Utes in Las Vegas for the Pac-12 crown. However, Utah proved that the first time wasn't a fluke; drubbing Oregon from start to finish for another commanding victory over the Ducks.

Utah scored twice in the first quarter behind a lengthy 10:47 min drive that ended in a TD to start the game, and then a Devin Lloyd pick-six with 4:16 left to play in the first. That score remained for most of the first half as Noah Sewell and Verone McKinley III bailed out Oregon's somber offense with interceptions. At the end of the first half, however, the Utes punched Oregon in the mouth. Dalton Kincaid caught an 11-yard pass to make it 20-0 (missed PAT), and then Anthony Brown gifted the Utes the ball back with his second INT, resulting in a FG and a 23-0 halftime lead for Utah.

Oregon drove down the field to start the second half but ultimately settled on a FG to make it 23-3. Oregon got a stop, but once again the offense couldn't reciprocate, ultimately punting out of its own endzone, and Utah capitalized with a quick score and 2 pt conversion to go up 31-3. After that, it was curtains for the Ducks, and Utah added to the bleeding with another score early in the fourth quarter. Oregon responded with a Travis Dye TD from 2 yards out to make the final score 38-10.

Anthony Brown had a night to forget: 13-24 147 yards 2 INT, and 10 carries for -5 yards. Travis Dye provided a spark with 109 all-purpose yards and a TD. Isaiah Crocker, who had one catch all year prior to tonight, contributed 3 catches for 51 yards to lead Oregon. Defensively, Noah Sewell made 12 total tackles to pass the 100 tackle mark on the season.

Devin Lloyd was named Pac-12 MVP on the back of his INT TD and 7 total tackles. Utah QB Cameron Rising added 170 yards in the air and 61 with his legs. Tavion Thomas rushed it 18 times for 63 yards and 2 scores.

Utah is heading to the Rose Bowl for the first time in program history, and Oregon is likely heading to the Alamo Bowl to clash with a Big 12 opponent on December 29th. Oregon drops to 10-3 on the season with the loss.
