SB | Oregon Loses to Stanford in Weekend-Series Opener

Oregon came to Stanford ready to swing away. The Ducks plated four runs in the first inning courtesy of Allee Bunker's grand slam and held the Stanford Cardinal scoreless through the first three innings. The tide turned when Stanford scored three unanswered runs in the third and fourth innings, before exploding for a five-run fifth inning to take an 8-5 lead heading into the sixth inning. Oregon found a spark when Rachel Cid skied a solo home run to bring the Ducks within two runs, but a scoreless seventh inning sealed the win for Stanford. Stanford's Carolyn Lee tallies her eighth win of the season (8-2). Oregon's Madison MacGrandle picks up her sixth loss this season (2-6).
