SB | Ducks Blank Utes on Star Wars Night

The Ducks came out hot against the Utes in their final home series of the regular season. Gwen Svekis hit a two-run homer in the first to break the tie. Thereafter, the Ducks tacked on three runs in the third, one in the fourth, and 2 in the sixth to win 8-0 via the run-rule. Katie Donovan threw all six innings for the Utes, earning six of the eight runs, walking four and striking out two. Her Oregon-counterpart, Megan Kleist, also went all six, allowing just two hits and totaling just one walk to go with five strikeouts. Haley Cruse led the way on offense for Oregon, going 2-3 with a single and her first home run of the season. The win puts Oregon in a tie with UCLA for the top spot in the Pac-12.
