The Oregon Women wrapped up non-conference play defeating the visiting Seattle University Redhawks 70-44, improving their record to 7-4. The Ducks were bolstered by dominant play under the rim, as they allowed just 22% shooting from the field, grabbed 11 more rebounds, and blocked 10 shots. The improvement in the paint was mostly attributed to the increased role of Oregon center Megan Carpenter who tallied 4 blocked shots, 8 rebounds, and made her size and presence known every time the Redhawks tested her in the lane. The Ducks next play when they open league play on January 3 against the USC Trojans.
