Oregon Upsets No. 3 Ranked Arizona, Saturday March 8

The University of Oregon Men's basketball team upset the no. 3 ranked Arizona Wildcats 64-57, Saturday, March 8th. The Ducks had a slow first half and were still behind in the second half until Jason Calliste hit a jump-shot that set the Ducks ahead by 1 pt. Jason Calliste, who only had 4 points in the first half, had a 14 point second half, 9 of which were free-throws. Dana Altman was pleased with Calliste's performance. Calliste said the plays weren't set up for him to take big shots, he just saw an opening and put the ball up. The win against Arizona secured Oregon's spot on Wednesday, March 12th in Las Vegas for the Pac-12 tournament. Playing on Wednesday means the Ducks will have to compete in 4  games during the tournament instead of 3, but Coach Dana Altman said that if any team can compete in 4 games, the Ducks have a shot. -Kelsy Alston
