Oregon football broke open their 2018 season with a 58-24 win over Bowling Green on Saturday night. Entering as heavy favorites, the Ducks didn't look the part early on. The Falcons jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game thanks to some shaky offensive play and a long touchdown drive. After converting a 4th and long into a touchdown from Justin Herbert to Jaylon Redd, Oregon found its stride and would tack on 37 unanswered points before Bowling Green responded with a touchdown to end the half. With the momentum on their side, Bowling Green took the ball to start the half and then gave it right back on an Ugo Amadi pick six. The Ducks wouldn't look back, finishing off the game for the 58-24 victory in week one.
