GRRRLZ Rock Showcase '24 | Sunday Live Sessions Recap
Last month, a selection of GRRRLZ Rock artists from the non-profit MEPAA joined us live in the studio to perform some original music for Eugene and Springfield. Among the performers was the MEPAA's Executive Director and Founder Matrisha Armitage, Singer-Songwriter Maya Vagner, and a group known as Femme Dagger. The MEPAA previously featured a KIDZ ROCK showcase earlier this year, and we were so excited to have their organization back on the air. This was the first Live Session that I, DJ Taco, had to miss due to sickness (hence, no video this time). However, our wonderful KWVA staff and volunteers stepped in to make this Live Session a success. Special thanks goes to Music Director Jackson (DJ Fud) Host/Office Assistant Ginger (DJ Swamp Princess) and Production Assistants Sophie, Sadie, Logan and Schaeffer.

(Live Sessions is a show on KWVA every Sunday from 4pm-6pm during Fall, Winter and Spring terms. Bands and artists from Eugene and beyond are invited to perform LIVE as we turn our station into a DIY recording studio. Shows are often hosted by KWVA DJs, who interview the artists on-air. Live Sessions is produced and scheduled by the KWVA production department and it's hard-working assistants, with additional help from the KWVA Music department.)
