Listening Forward

The new week is here! With it, comes a whole bunch of good news for you, listeners.

Tonight, get your heart on with Blood on the Saddle’s Valen’times’ Day Hearts on Fire special. Two hours of songs from the heart, 8-10PM. Be on the lookout for other Valentine’s Day Themed programming throughout the week, whether it be cozy love songs or broken-hearted ballads.

Yesterday, we had the good fortune of having artist Robin Bacior in the studio for a live session. The session was hosted by DJ Spere of R and B and Jazz, and will be available for viewing soon on our Youtube page.

Speaking of great in-studios, we have another one to dish up right away! Local singer-songwriter Corey Harper will be gracing the airwaves with his soulful voice and acoustic guitar during DJ Elle’s Get Up Get Down. If that sounds like how you’d like to spend a Tuesday night, listen in from 10-11 pm.

And now, for the rest of the week. The KWVA Top 30 charts will be up on Tuesday and we’re just as excited as you to see if Sleater-Kinney has truly resurrected from the 90’s and claimed their number one spot on college radio once again. On Wednesday, we’ll have an album review from DJ Wake on Afternoon’s Say Yes. As always, keep tuned into 88.1 FM or stream live online 24/7 to hear what’s what in college radio.

Happy Valentine’s Day from KWVA! Much love to all of our listeners.
