Oregon Men’s Basketball Exhibition Victory vs. Western Oregon University

The University of Oregon Men’s Basketball team defeated Western Oregon University 104-55 after coming back from an eleven point deficit, Sunday November 10th.

Although the season has not officially begun this win makes The Ducks 2-0 for their exhibition games.

The Oregon Ducks got off to a rough start against the Western Oregon Wolves in the first few minutes of play when the Wolves accumulated an eleven-point lead. The two teams battle for the lead for a few minutes in the middle of the first half but the Ducks ended the half with an ironic eleven-point lead.

The Ducks came out of the second half and increased their lead to 49 points by the end of the game.

Oregon’s Junior College transfer Duane Benjamin scored the most points Sunday with 22 points followed by Elgin Cook who had 19 and freshman Dillon Brooks with 17.

Dana Altman says looking forward the team is going to have to play hard and scrappy to keep coming away with wins.

The Oregon Ducks will play again against Coppin State at 9 p.m in Matthew Knight Arena.
