KWVA is Hiring

It is that time of year again–time when we start our annual search for student staff to lead the daily operations of KWVA in the coming year. And we want you!

If you are a student enrolled full-time at the University of Oregon, you can apply for staff positions. The positions pay a small stipend, and focus on learning and operating the station.

Here are the positions:
Assistant General Manager
Programming Director
Music Director
News Director
Sports Director
Production Director
Marketing Director

Applications are available in the KWVA main office, or by emailing charlotte@kwvaradio.org and are due by noon on Monday, May 5th. Email with questions.

Anarchy Radio in the News

Numerous media sources are referencing an audio recording from our radio program “Anarchy Radio” hosted by community member John Zerzan on December 20, 2011 (audio of full show below). They are speculating on the identity of a caller to the show, and connecting the conversation to the Sandy Hook tragedy that occurred a year after the call (audio excerpt of call below). We receive many call-ins as an important part of our dynamic programming and do not confirm the identity of callers.

We are saddened by the possible connection to the Sandy Hook tragedy and offer our condolences to the families of the victims.
