Oregon Volleyball Loses Heart breaker to Colorado in Five

The Oregon Volleyball finished of it’s home stand with a loss to Colorado in five sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-17, 25-9, 15-10) on Friday evening at Matthew Knight Arena. Oregon was handled by Colorado through the first two sets, and found itself down two sets. Oregon rallied, and dominated the fourth set. Colorado finished off set number five with six consecutive points to finish Oregon off. Oregon was led by Sophomore Hitter Jolie Rasmussen, who finished with 14 kills. Oregon also got good contribution from Sophomore Middle Blocker Ronika Stone, who added 13 kills and five blocks. Oregon heads to the Bay Area next, to take on California on Friday at 7pm

Oregon Knocks off #12. Utah for Second Time

The No. 15 Oregon Ducks took down No. 12 Utah for the second time this season, winning 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 25-23, 25-22) on Wednesday evening at Matthew Knight Arena. The match stayed close through a majority of the sets, until Oregon found ways to pull away. Jolie Rasmussen had a big night, contributing 15 kills for Oregon. Ronika Stone was on defense all night, earning seven kills for the match. She was also responsible for the matches final point. Oregon hit .288 on the evening, compared to Utah’s .241. Oregon looks to continue the momentum when it takes on Colorado on Friday at 7pm, at Matthew Knight Arena.
