BSB | Ducks Take Early Lead And Never Look Back In 10-3 Victory Over Gonzaga

After a tight win over Oregon State on Sunday, the Ducks(26-24, 9-15 Pac-12) scored early and never lost the lead in their 10-3 Tuesday win over the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Lefty Kolby Somers made the start for Oregon, going 4 innings and allowing 2 earned runs, striking out 4 and walking none. Oregon pitching would only allow one run the rest of the way, showing a marked improvement recently over earlier bullpen struggles in the season. Evan Williams and Jonny DeLuca led the way for an Oregon offense that put double digits on the scoreboard, combining for 3 hits and 4 RBI. The team had big innings in the fifth and sixth innings, putting up crooked numbers in both. The Ducks took advantage in the fifth, piling on some runs after an error from Gonzaga.

The Ducks next game will take place in Los Angeles, taking on USC on May 17th, and they return to Eugene for their final home series against UCLA on May 23rd.
