BSB | Stringer Dominate In 6-0 Victory Over LMU

Cole Stringer took the mound for the Ducks Saturday afternoon at PK Park and was dominate throughout his start. The Redshirt- Junior induced ground ball after ground ball, and led the Ducks to a 6-0 Victory over Loyola Marymount.

Stringer went 6.1innings for the Ducks, his longest outing since 2017 after he redshirted last season due to injury. Loyola’s hitters couldn’t get the ball off the ground, and Stringer was able to force 13 groundouts from their hitters.

It wasn’t just Stringer who played well for the Ducks. Spencer Steer hit two Home Runs over the wall in left field in the 1st and 7th innings. The first was a solo blast that barely got over the fence, while the second was a two run shot that left the yard quickly.  His 3 RBI’s on the day helped propel the Ducks to a 6-0 Victory over LMU and increase the teams win streak to 5 games.

Up Next: Oregon (6-2) takes on LMU (5-5) tomorrow at 12 p.m. as they go for the series sweep.
