AUDIO: Oregon Baseball Set for Home Opener

After a 1-2 opening weekend road trip to No. 8 Texas Tech, Oregon baseball returns to Eugene for a four-game home opening series against St. Mary’s. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. on Friday at PK Park. Despite dropping the series to the Red Raiders, the Ducks held early leads in all three games but couldn’t sustain the home team’s rallies. With early confidence already brewing at the plate, head coach George Horton and Oregon look to put both phases together this weekend before its own home crowd. But they’ll need to do so without the regular starting rotation on the mound, with Kenyon Yovan struggling with hand discomfort Cole Stringer will start Friday’s series opener instead. Listen below as Horton and the Ducks preview this weekend’s series.
