MBB: Oregon Powers Past Stanford for a 69-46 Victory

Oregon Men’s Basketball defeated Stanford 69-46 to complete a home sweep of the Bay Area schools. The Ducks came out firing defensively, allowing just two points in the first 13 minutes of play. Stanford missed 19 of their first 20 shots. Kenny Wooten led the team defensively with five blocks in the first half. Wooten fell in foul trouble midway through the first half, allowing Stanford to creep in a bit for a 30-20 halftime score in favor of the Ducks. In the second half, Oregon was led by their backcourt shooting. Payton Pritchard scored 15 of his 20 points in the second half, and Louis King was right behind him with 17 points. Victor Bailey Jr. added 11 points. The Ducks shot 41% from three in comparison to 17% for the Cardinal. Stanford shot just 27% from the field and only had two players reach double digits. Wooten matched his career high of 7 blocks. With the win, Oregon improves to 6-5 in Pac-12 play to move into fifth place in the standings.
