Coming off its 2-0 start to the season, no. 13 Oregon men’s basketball departs from Eugene for its first road tests of the season at the 2k Empire Classic in New York this week. The Ducks tip off the tournament against Iowa on Thursday and then will play the either Connecticut or Syracuse on Friday. Oregon cruised to a 2-0 start last week with two wins of 25+ points against Portland State and Eastern Washington, thanks in large part to freshmen Bol Bol’s strong start with back-to-back double-doubles to begin his career. Now, Oregon hits the road for the first time this season and will meet a highly experienced team in Iowa with its young lineup.
