Following a disappointing 2017 campaign that saw the Oregon soccer team fall short of its goal of the program’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament, Kat Mertz and the Ducks are back in 2018 looking for another chance at a breakthrough. With a number of returning players combining with a new class of freshman, Oregon remains an underdog in the always competitive PAC-12, where the Ducks were picked to finish 10th this year. On Monday afternoon, the Ducks held their annual media day to preview the year ahead that kicks off on Friday night in Eugene against Stony Brook.
