BSB: Six Run Seventh Inning Propels Oregon Over Gonzaga

In a game that featured five Oregon pitchers, the Ducks were able to pull of a thrilling comeback, thanks to a six run 7th inning, downing the Gonzaga Bulldogs 6-3. Freshman Brett Walker got the start for the Ducks, but was chased after giving up two runs and four hits in the first inning. Oregon only collected two hits prior to their six run explosion. After Gabe Matthews and Jakob Goldfarb drew walks to start the 7th, senior Daniel Patzlaff laced a double to right-center to pull the Ducks within a run. After a double by Evan Williams that scored Patzlaff, a costly error by former Duck Carson Breshears scored Williams to give the Ducks a 4-3 lead. Spencer Steer then doubled to left-center, bringing home Kasser and DeLuca which proved to be more than enough for the Ducks. George Horton turned to Kenyon Yovan to close the game in the 8th, as the sophomore was able to seal the game for a two inning save.
