SB: Ducks Stay Perfect on Florida Trip with two more wins

No. 6 Oregon softball won two more times on Saturday in the Unconquered Invitational in Tallahassee, Florida. The Ducks opened the day with a hard-fought 2-1 win in 11 innings against unranked Hofstra. Maggie Balint and Miranda Elish combined to limit the Pride to just one run and six hits in 11 innings. Oregon tied the score at one in the sixth before Shannon Rhodes gave Oregon the lead with a home run in the top of the 11th inning. In a rematch of the Ducks’ 5-0 from Friday evening, the Ducks again defeated unranked Florida Gulf Coast 5-1 behind Balint’s complete game and a four-run third inning. The two wins improve Oregon’s record to 18-3 and stretches its win streak to eight games. Full postgame coverage, including a game story is below.
