STORY: Players Push for Mario Cristobal as Head Football Coach

After then-head coach Willie Taggart left Eugene for Tallahasse, Florida and the Seminoles of Florida State, the Ducks had a coaching vacancy. Oregon players made their voices heard early and often throughout Athletic Director Rob Mullens’ hiring process. The team took to Twitter to express their appreciation for the then-offensive line coach Mario Cristobal. Ultimately, Mullens agreed and Cristobal is now the 34th head football coach in Oregon history. Listen to the full story below.
