Oregon Women’s Basketball Cruises to Victory over CSUN

The 11th ranked Oregon Women’s Basketball team had no issues defeating Cal State Northridge 91-43, on Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena. Oregon showed off a stout defense, forcing 29 turnovers on the evening. Sophomore Guard Sabrina Ionescu opened the game 3-3 from downtown, before finishing with 15 total points on the night. She also came away with seven assists and six rebounds. The Ducks played to their depth, with all but one Duck getting on the scoreboard. The newcomers got involved once the veterans had created a cushion. Freshmen Forward Satou Sabally finished with seven points. Freshmen Guard Anneli Maley added seven points and five rebounds. Oregon will take on Drake in the second round of the WNIT Tournament, on Sunday at Matthew Knight Arena at 2pm.
