STORY: Brady Breeze’s Physicality Earns him a Spot in Oregon’s Secondary

After spending much of the first two months of the 2017 season on special teams, Oregon’s redshirt freshman safety Brady Breeze is now getting some run on the defensive side of the ball. Playing alongside senior Tyree Robinson, Breeze brought the boom to Autzen Stadium on Saturday, delivering hard hits, including one of Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley, four tackles, and a pass break up. The safety is known for his physicality, which is something he’s practiced since a young age. There is little that Breeze takes more pride in than the hushed reaction of a crowd after “laying the wood,” as safeties coach Keith Heyward calls it. The Ducks will likely lean on Breeze to help stop the potent offense of No. 12 Washington on Saturday in Seattle. The full story is below.
