STORY: Oregon is onto its Fourth Inside Linebacker Aside Troy Dye

The Oregon Ducks have been ravaged by injuries in 2017, including at the quarterback, running back, and wide receiver positions. However, only one position group has now turned to the fourth man on the depth chart: inside linebacker. Sophomore Troy Dye hasn’t missed a game — and rarely a snap — this season, but his inside linebacker partner in Jim Leavitt’s 3-4 defense has been a mix of guys. Injuries have torn apart AJ Hotchkins, Kaulana Apelu, and Blake Rugraff, forcing the Ducks to turn to Jimmie Swain. Considering the circumstances, the linebackers haven’t missed a beat.
