STORY: Ryan Bay Turns Dreams into Reality in First Career Start

Walk-on tight end Ryan Bay started for the first time in his three-year collegiate career in the Oregon Ducks’ 45-24 win over Cal on Saturday at Autzen Stadium. The redshirt sophomore did not play high school football as a sophomore or junior, but his senior season at Tigard High School earned him a scholarship offer from Eastern Washington and a walk-on spot at Oregon. As a Duck, Bay fulfilled a life-long dream. Next up was catching a pass at Autzen Stadium. Bay caught two passes against the Golden Bears for 20 yards – and no one is surprised.
