AUDIO: Oregon Drops Pac-12 Opener For Third Straight Season

The Oregon Ducks opened up Pac-12 play on Saturday against the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe, Arizona. The Ducks were 3-0 and ranked No. 24 in both the major polls while Arizona State was 1-2 and unranked heading in to the clash. The Sun Devils led early and often and pushed the lead to 17 points in the third quarter. Oregon fought all the way back, though, and led by a single point in the fourth quarter before Arizona State’s Brandon Ruiz nailed a 41-yard field goal attempt to put his team up by two. Oregon’s offense was unable to score on its final possession and the Ducks lost for the first time in 2017 and have now lost three consecutive conference opening games for the first time since 1980-1982.
