VB: Oregon Sweeps Cal Poly to Open Nike Classic

The 14th ranked Oregon volleyball team made quick work of Cal Poly to open the Nike Classic, winning 3-0. Oregon started slow in the early sets, but overcame the adversity by winning the first set 25-22 and the second set 25-20. Taylor Agost shined for the Ducks, coming away with 11 kills. Willow Johnson also had an efficient match adding 10 kills and six blocks. Torrey Van Winden led the way for Cal Poly with 12 kills, and Adlee Van Winden had 11 kills for herself. As a team Oregon hit .560 and came away with 13 total blocks. Oregon’s next opponent will be 23rd ranked Wichita State, that match will be played at Matthew Knight Arena on Friday at 8pm.
