BSB: Peterson fans 20, Ducks defeat ASU 2-0

The accolades and accomplishments showered over Oregon’s left-handed ace David Peterson as he broke the program record for strikeouts in a game, broke his own career high for the same feat and earned his first career complete game shutout. The Ducks scrapped out both of their runs in the contest: Matthew Dyer reached first on a bunt single allowing Spencer Steer to score making it Dyer’s 13th RBI of the season; Gabe Matthews scored on an error by Arizona St. 3B Taylor Lane during a pickle. Oregon head coach George Horton and his squad snapped their five-game losing streak and will continue their series against the Sun Devils on Saturday at 2 PM.
