SB: Oregon takes games 3 & 4 of the Oregon Invitational by run-rule.

After winning their first two games of the Oregon Invitational Friday night, the Oregon Ducks won both their games against Idaho State & Pacific Saturday afternoon. Both games went only 5 innings as Oregon’s offense was potent again, putting up 9 runs against Idaho State, as well as 8 runs against Pacific. Megan Kleist got the nod in game 3 of the Invitational, as the Idaho State offense couldn’t get anything going against the Sophomore. Kleist went 5 innings pitched, two hits allowed, no earned runs, and striking out 11. Those 11 strikeouts set a new career high for her in a game. Gwen Svekis would end the game on a 2-run homer, accounting for 2 of her 3 RBI’s in the game. Miranda Elish got the nod in game 4, and she would also set a career high in strikeouts; going 5 innings, giving up only one hit, and striking out 9 batters with no earned runs. Danica Mercado would get the game winning hit, scoring Alexis Mack. Mike White’s team will improve to 23-0 on the season, and they will take on Hofstra tomorrow at 10 AM.
