Baseball: Peterson Dominant as Ducks Top Bulldogs 1-0 in Home Opener

The Oregon Baseball home opener was one to remember as ace David Peterson pitched a masterpiece. The Ducks defeated the Mississippi Sate bulldogs 1-0, with Peterson striking out an Oregon baseball record 17 batters, issuing zero walks, and scattering three hits through 8 innings pitched. The Ducks lone run came from a solo home run off the bat of Kyle Kasser, his first of his three year Oregon Career. Game two of the three game set will take place tomorrow at 2, as Oregon will throw sophomore Matt Mercer as he hopes to build off his stellar 1.74 ERA to start the season.
