Oregon Softball’s Season Ends at the Hands of the UCLA Bruins

Oregon softball couldn’t quite close out the UCLA Bruins on Sunday evening at Jane Sanders Stadium. The Bruins, whose season hung in the balance going into the seventh inning of Game 2 of the Eugene Super Regional, struck for one run to tie the score, staving off elimination for at least one more inning. UCLA ended up winning Game 2 by a score of 2-1 in walk-off fashion, given that they were the home team, in the ninth inning. The momentum carried over as the Bruins won Game 3 as well — again by a score of 2-1 — in a winner-take-all game. Oregon’s season comes to a close at the hands of UCLA just a year after they defeated the Ducks in Oklahoma City, where UCLA is headed next. Below is all postgame coverage of Oregon’s final game of the 2016 season.
