It took a star performance from Cole Irvin and some very efficient hitting for Oregon to pull out the 3-0 win on Friday night over Arizona, as Irvin tossed 7.1 shutout innings en route to the win. The offense managed only 4 hits but capitalized on errors to give Irvin and closer Stephen Nogosek, who earned the 1.2 inning save, all the run support they needed. The two teams will be back at it for the second game of the series at 4 PM on Saturday.
