Oregon Dominates California in Game 1 of Series, 9-1

Number one ranked Oregon got off to another hot start Thursday at Howe Field, scoring five runs in the first inning. Cheridan Hawkins picked up the complete game victory, allowing just three hits and one earned run. The Ducks had already scored five with no outs on California starter Nisa Ontiveros before she was pulled from the game. The Ducks have now won eleven of their last twelve games, and are 38-5 on the season. Game 2 of the sereies begins at 4 p.m. Friday at Howe Field.
