6:00  –  Oregon Men’s Basketball’s Weekend at Home

  • Stanford wins a tournament atmosphere game 82-80.
  • Elgin Cook’s block, Artis three gives Ducks a chance at the end (plus Stanford choking on free throws).
  • Didn’t like the Loyd dribble in and shoot for first time to tie it. Had time to run something better.
  • Blown free throws by Cardinal gain, so Artis had a chance to win it but missed the lay-up.
  • Conference record now 1-3… lost three straight.
  • Ducks out of AP Top 25.
  • Especially hurts that Ducks drop two at home.
  • Defense still a big concern… Stanford looked in control throughout.
  • What’s going on? Ducks overrated to start season?

6:15  –  GUEST: Austin Meek of the Register-Guard

  • Touching on a lot of topic’s with RG’s new columnist.
  • Oregon basketball… what’s going on?

6:30  –  Don Pellum Named Oregon Defensive Coordinator

  • Former LB coach succeeds longtime DC Nick Aliotti.
  • Has coached every position on defense except secondary.
  • John Neal, current secondary coach, seemed like other option.
  • Pellum right choice?
  • No matter what, he’s always gonna be the best-dressed.

6:40  –  Oregon Women’s Basketball Civil Wars

  • Back-to-back Civil Wars – Beavers took first 88-80 at MKA Saturday, next starts at 7 in Corvallis tonight.

  • Ducks had 24-9 advantage on points off turnovers.
  • Oregon made it close with about two minutes left, but Beavers looked more composed and held on.
